When installing new flat roofs, we start by assessing the job with the client and supplying them with a quote for the labour and materials. Once the client has accepted the quote, we can begin the installation process. Firstly, we set up a ladder and remove any damaged old felt from the existing roof. We measure the area for the new roof and cover it with felt that is approximately three times the size of the space. We then add the felt by nailing it into place, applying adhesive, adding more felt if necessary, and smoothing it out. Any additional adhesive is applied as needed. We finish by adding another layer, then flattening it and walking over the new roof to ensure it's fully sealed and there are no signs of leaks. After that, we will clean up, remove the mess and debris, and pack up our equipment.
